Point,line,plane.

Kandinsky built every painting from three elements: the point, the line, the plane. I build the same way. Six disciplines, one grammar, and the work is always the composition.

    Six years in Italy

    Invited to the University of Udine through the International Peace student project. Video performance, exhibitions, a second language.

    haifame.it

    Built one of the first online food-ordering sites in Italy and won a grant for it. Then JustEat arrived with a million euros. I quit.

    Owner and art director. Identities, campaigns and event visuals for cultural institutions.

  6. 2020

    Sarajevo

    Failed at code

    Months of courses during COVID. I actually failed, decided it wasn't for me, and didn't touch it for half a year.

    The door opened

    OpenAI opened its API. I built a QR-menu ordering app for a restaurant, held together with tape. People used it. I changed careers at thirty-three.

Never too lateto start.

I'm Léo Yiğit Ekiz. Born in Istanbul in 1988, trained as a photographer at Mimar Sinan, shaped by six years in Italy, and based in Sarajevo, where I'm the proud father of Dorian and Iris, and still my wife's lover.

For fifteen years my world was photography, film and design. Programming was the one door that stayed shut, until AI opened it. Today I direct AI enablement at FlyRank and mentor people who are where I was.

I never stopped building for my own life: a feeding tracker for our baby, a behavior chart for our toddler, browser extensions that kill repetitive work. Nobody assigned those. They were just real problems.
